Revols Top 10 December Playlist

What’s not to love about December? Sure, the overplayed Christmas songs can get old, your credit card might get maxed out, and the daunting idea of your upcoming new year’s resolution looms over you like a dark cloud. Hey grinch, it’s not all bad is it? Though it may be the last month of the year, December can be a month of many firsts. Seeing the first snowfall, enjoying the first sip of hot chocolate, going on that first ski run and of course, welcoming in the new year with family and friends. These are all pretty amazing reasons why we should embrace Winter, and the final month of 2016.

Let’s forget about all of the torments that December puts us through for a second, and make it a month filled with daily soundtracks. We know how grueling this cold front can get, so we want to encourage you to take in every snowball fight, cherish every eggnog memory, and stay positive with some music motivation. To get started, flip on the switch for your electric fireplace (because let’s face it, who has a wood-burning one nowadays), prepare the marshmallows, and get cozy. Let’s cheers our hot cocoa mugs and celebrate this December by thinking back on all of the incredible artists that were born this month, and the amazing songs that surround December this year.

December 4th:

Where would the music industry be without Jay-Z? Had Shawn Corey Carter not transformed himself into his alter-ego, the Queen B herself would have never created Lemonade (an album that will go down in history as one of the most controversial ones yet) seeking revenge on him. Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter is a multi-million dollar rapper and producer; he is both talented and smart-- December produced a good one.

December 13th:

In Taylor Swift’s case, the year is more important than the month. She was born in 1989, a year so significant that she made it the title of her latest album and her sold-out world tour. She has made the switch from country to pop, always remaining at the top of the charts. Even all of the snow in her birthday month can’t slow her down from “feeling 22”.

December 18th:

Keith Richards, a founding member of The Rolling Stones -- one of, if not, THE most iconic rock band in history. Without him, perhaps the world wouldn’t have been graced with the moves like Jagger, a dance we all attempt to mimic (in the comfort of our own rooms, of course).

Clearly, these December babies were made for music! So, in light of these quintessential artists’ birthday month, we have created a Revolsmusic “December 2016” playlist, comprising of the songs that will be topping the charts this month! Click here to see the complete list!
